Our Story
Founded in Melbourne, Australia, in 2024, Lovalin was born from a simple belief: thoughtfully chosen materials can bring greater comfort to the way we sleep, move, rest and live each day.
I’m Selena, co-founder of Lovalin, and the idea for the brand began within my own family.
My daughter, Elva, has sensitive skin and has experienced recurring eczema from a young age. Although I cannot say that any particular fabric can change a skin condition, her experience encouraged me to think more carefully about the materials that come into contact with our skin every day, especially the bedding we sleep in each night.
Years earlier, our family had used a bamboo quilt cover from a local store, and I remembered how remarkably soft and comfortable it felt against the skin. After many years of mainly using cotton bedding, that memory encouraged me to explore bamboo textiles again and learn more about their softness, breathability and comfortable feel.
Bamboo has also always held a personal meaning for me. I have long loved the plant and grow many bamboo plants in the backyard of our Melbourne home. Its natural beauty, quiet strength and sense of balance became part of the inspiration behind Lovalin.
My son, Leonardo, also came to appreciate the soft feel of bamboo products, particularly pillowcases and towels. Together, Elva and Leonardo remain a personal part of the family story behind Lovalin.
What began as a search for softer, more thoughtfully chosen bedding gradually became a broader purpose: to create well-designed products that bring natural fibre comfort into everyday life.
Thoughtful Craftsmanship
Together with co-founder Samuel Shen, whose family has a long heritage in textile craftsmanship, Lovalin combines personal experience with practical knowledge of fabrics, materials and manufacturing.
From bedding, robes and towels to sleep accessories and yoga essentials, each Lovalin collection is guided by the same principle: comfort should feel natural, considered and beautifully balanced.
